Family Self-Sufficiency
Family Self-Sufficiency is a supportive employment program for adults who are currently receiving Section 8 vouchers through 100 Gold St. that facilitates connection to training and job placement.
What We Do:
Connection to workforce training such as customer service, home health aide, and/or food service training to gain nationally recognized credentials. The home health aide training is available in Spanish. All other training is available in English only.
Employment readiness training includes resume and interview support, job search techniques, and professional skills training in conflict resolution, leadership, and timeliness.
Career development, including job placement, ongoing job retention, and advancement services.
Who We Do it For:
Applicants may be eligible if they are:
New York City residents who receive HPD Section 8 (meaning recertification is at 100 Gold Street. NYCHA Section 8 residents are not eligible).
