On April 20, 2010, Mr. Juan Vargas Suriel was honored with an award during the Department of Youth and Community Development’s Immigrant Heritage Week Awards ceremony.  Mr. Suriel earned his citizenship with help from NMIC’s Immigration Program staff, Karina Moran and Sweda Herrera.  Mr. Suriel exemplifies immigrant strength and the important role that immigrants play in our country.  Congratulations Mr. Suriel.
