Family Day
Care Providers are licensed individuals who manage a child care business
in their home and provide a safe and healthy environment for the children
in our community. They are licensed by NY State and are committed to the
well being of all children in care. Their work allows parents to provide
for their families, children to learn and become responsible citizens, and
it allows our communities to flourish.
At a time
where child care is facing more than a 35 million dollar reduction and
only 27% of the need for child care is currently being met – the
Children’s Art & Talent Exhibition served as a platform where the
children, families and the hardworking providers of our community were
recognized for their invaluable contribution to our society.
The event
was organized with the help of Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation,
New Vision for Children and Families Services, Inc., Career Bridge Family
Day Care, Inc., Northern Manhattan Coalition for Economic Development, and
the Upper Manhattan Family Day Care Provider Support Group.
